Phase 2 of our construction project is reimagining the flow of our Main Reading Room for better delineation between the lively and quiet areas.

• December 30, 2022: Work began. 

Please note that for the next few months during construction:

• Most work will be done weekday evenings starting at 6:00 p.m. and occasional weekends .
• There will be no guaranteed quiet areas of the library while construction is taking place.
• Workers may need to walk in and out of our new outdoor terrace door, causing a draft. It will likely be a bit chilly in the Main Reading Room while construction is in progress.

We apologize for any incovenience or disruption that this may cause and thank you for your patience during this time of improvement.

 

The future cafe is phase 3 and will begin after the completion of phase 2.
